New updates to Technology in the Building

     We have added some new Wireless Access Points to our Building.  We put three of them in on the 300 floor so that those students can easily use the laptop computers that we have.  The signal works also on the main floor through most of the hallways.  A big THANK YOU to the Home and School Association for donating most of the money to purchase these devices.  A big THANK YOU to Mark and Spencer Schrimpf for donating their time and talent to hang these at the beginning of school.  

     The cafeteria also purchased one to use for the lunch program as students go through the lunch line.  It also reaches the Kindergarten rooms so they now have wireless and the ability to use the I-pads that have been donated to them. Again thank you to Spencer Shrimpf for hanging the device.

     The goal is to continue to add more of these throughout the building as the monies become available.  Currently we are in great need of one between the 5th grade rooms.  This would allow all of the library to be covered and the end of the primary hallways below this area to be covered.

      It is great to see all the students who are using the library computers to take reading counts quizzes or to use the Google Apps.  Some days we even have an overflow and open the upstairs lab if there is not a class using it.  A future goal is to replace the Windows XP computers in the library with something better so that they make it easier for the students to use.
